2011 Penang Bridge International Marathon - 2nd barefoot marathon

19:00 , nervous, nervous, nervous.
20:00 , loading spaghetti.
21:00 , loading a lot of water and chia seed.
23:00 , still loading water.

20-Nov 2011
00:40 , 1/2 cup of thick black coffee
00:50 , left the house.
01:00 , arrive at Queens Bay Starting point - Thanks Andreas Mak.
01:10 , wandering around.
01:20 , toilet round 1.
01:23 , start warm up.
01:35, meditate.
01:45, bag deposit, saw another barefoot runner.
01:50, toilet last visit.
01:55, warm up and chat with strangers.
01:57, adrenaline maximum level.
02:00, Chief Minister LGE fire the gun!
02:00:22, not moving even one step yet.
02:01, finally the marathon begin!

The 42.195km

02:29 , arrive 4km, Seagate U-turn
02:47 , heading the bridge.
03:00, Welcome to Penang Bridge, this is the best part :-D.
04:00 , finished one side of bridge, 19km
04:15 , 21km point, half journey completed. Bun time. Super crowded.
05:32, 33km, power gel and banana!
06:00, 38km. Lots of Johny Walkers. Decided not to join them.
06:20, 39km. I am Stronger Than This.
06:30, 41.5km, I can go Faster Than This.
06:32, 42.195km - Unexpected crowd cheering for me being barefoot. Touch down finishing line.

After Math

06:34 , took medal and finisher-T
06:35 , realized i forgot to stop the watch timer.
06:37 , both legs gave up, laying on the grass right in the round about. watching moon.
06:55 , walk like crab to breakfast tent. Tea , toast and eggs
07:30 , sit on chair. notice the big toe have a cut and bleeding.
08:50 , 10:00 - Medal Award Ceremony, lucky draw.
10:05 , Walk home.
11:45 , heading Butterworth for 7-long kuew-teow Soup! Again, thanks Andreas!
15:00, reach home, shower, and sleep. End of PBIM 2011.
