time line

Please forgive my poor spelling and grammar mistake

1978 - 8 June
Born in Kangar General Hospital, Perlis.
Mother said father and her went to hospital in a trishaw.

1979 - 1981
No memory at all how I live through these 3 years... sorry :-)
my mother mentioned once that I was having hard time quitting breast milk that my grandma have to get the bomoh kampung (village witch doctor) to make me quit it.. Since then, I am so afraid of milk, including the milk powder and fresh milk. It was a long 20 years later that I force myself to drink the milk from milk powder...

1982
Move to new house in Taman Sentua, only remember when we first moved in there was no electricity and I was playing zoo animal set under candle light.

1983
Suddenly I can understand and speak Thai, don't ask me how and why, blame it on TV!!! Another memory I have was, drawing 1:1 scale mask rider (we called it skyrider back then) on house wall. Follow my elder sister to kindergarten.

1984
Went to kindergarten (Tadika Tmn Perlis); I have the visual memory of the old lady near my father shop who delivers Kam Kam (tidbits) to me in kindergarten. Also remember I spilled the coffee (yeah right, I drink coffee since then!!) all over myself (damn lucky it wasn't hot), the kindergarten teacher have to change my cloth, the cloth were green and have lot of frog motives on it.

1985
Entered Standard 1 at SRJK(C) Khoon Aik. In the morning we searched from one pine tree to another, looking for cicada shell. The class teacher was Ms Tham.

1986
Standard 2, class teacher Ms Hu Hao Jiao (not sure the spelling of her name). Saw her last year, her hair turned white...
My mother bought me the first lego set, it was a medieval stone thrower (from wikipedia: lithobolos).
I took one cylinder part from the lego set; put it on the 5cm Heman figure's right hand, so he can hold the lego sword. It was 15 years later that the hellboy comic reminds me of what I did... (Hellboy comic started around 1994, I bought the "Seed Of Destruction" in 2001)

1987 - 1990
Entering Standard-3. The class teacher was Mr. Lin Zheng Tian. I learned a lot of things from him. For the next 3 consecutive years he was my class teacher. He has great sense of humor, and invented a few "torture tools" (not really torture but back in those day, caning was part of the punishment that were allowed in school), namely:
1. The Turtle Shell (乌龟壳) - According to him, even the turtle shell cannot withstand this cane... so, imagine!
2. The Wide Noodle (大板棵条), this is a wide ruler, about 1 meter long or could be longer...
3. Satay - this one, when he wanted to cane more than one person at the same time, one stroke 2 to 5 person shared!!
4. Others titles I remember was roti-canai and Kite, but those were hardly seen

He also coached the school basketball team, but we never went to the competition, I have no idea why.

Anyway Sir, if you are reading this, I wanted to thank you for all the knowledge you spread to us, and I still remember most of the things you taught us.

There was a school gardener who was "not quite right". He would appear outside the classroom, next to the windows, commanded everyone to stand up, stand straight, and he started to perform the national anthem, Negaraku followed by Perlis anthem.

During the weekly morning assembly (held on Sunday, the public holiday was Friday and Saturday, until it was change to Saturday & Sunday in 1992), an old teacher would sit at one corner, excluded from others, he smokes, and sometimes, fumed the medication oil.

There was an Indian student, Am-pa-la-ni (sorry I don't have her exact name spelling, this is the name when the MC announced her name), who spoke Mandarin so well that she was a team member that represent the school in debate and speech competitions.

During school holiday, I watched the Three Hundred Spartans, classic version, on TV.

Thundercats was on TV every 5pm or so. Other animated series broad casted on TV were SilverHawk, Heman And The Master of Universe, Transformers, Voltron, Visionaries, MASK, Ninja Turtle etc..

Around this time I played kite in padi field, and caught fish in the mud pond.

31 July1998, the Butterworth jetty collapsed, the incident was known as the Jetty Tragedy. All 5 of us (my parents, elder brother and elder sister, and I) were there. It was a crowded Sunday morning, around 11am. It happened in a split second, the first beam that collapsed; fell right on my father right shoulder. His right arm was misaligned, yet he was able to pull me out of a few fat asses that stacked on top of me. He said he only saw my hand and he pulled me out, saved my life. All of us survived without a scratch, except my father. Although he went through the surgical to fix the arm, he suffers the pain for the rest of his life, on and off. Press reported 38 (or 32?) casualties. Thousand over injured.

I saw a lady was sitting there with both her ankle broken, the foot only connect to the leg by a thin layer of skin, and the bones were exposed. (Bloody hell why do you highlight this in red!?)

Father shoulder's problem gave him bad temper over the time. Imagine your shoulder were sore all the time, typically during rainy day.

I also read the comic "Long Hu Men"(Dragon Tiger Gate, they make it into life action movie in 2006), and "Zhong Hua Ying Xiong" (A man called Hero). I never bought the comic; I borrowed them from a friend near my father's shop. Not quite sure but I think he is the nephew of my class teacher.

-Romance of the 3 Kingdoms (pictorial copy) first contact.

In 1990, we all took the UPSR test, score 5As out of 6 subjects. (小时了了!)
everyone graduated from primary school.

1991
Move to "Remove", until now I have no idea why it is called "Remove". Out of about 40 classmates in primary school, only one girl skipped this and went direct to form 1 earlier than the rest of us. This is the first year of secondary school before entering Form 1. I was in the afternoon class, Cikgu Aziz was the class teacher, and he drove the car with plate number 2525. The Supervisor was Cikgu Lamin, aka The Goat! If memory served me well, he is one damn strict and serious dude.

Harmus Lam went to the Malaysia TaeKuanDoe competition in KL, but he was disqualified because his weight was slightly over in the weight category he took part in. He told me he ran like hell to get the sweats out before the weighting, with hope that he still fall in that weight category.

- Watched many P. Ramlee movies. Back then, "anak haram" was so common in his movie, but now you can't hear this on the TV! And, those ladies in his movie were more "exposed" compare to today Malaysian TV drama or movie.

1992
Form 1. I can’t remember much from this age. Who is the class teacher? I'm sorry I can't recall, can someone enlighten me? Chin Yee maybe you remember? Played basketball like crazy... gets to know the best pal of my life BooCheah aka 5+. We were in the same class during primary school but didn't know each other much.

1993
Form 2. Still play basketball like there is no tomorrow. Go fishing under hot sun (wasn't so hot back then). Assembling model kit of World War 2 tanks...

Went to cinema with father, watched Jurassic Park. This movie was really a mega-shock to me! How the hack they make the dinosaur so real!!! Only found out the answer 6 years later.

My brother & sister were in the brass band but I was complete idiot in music, can't even get the name of the node correct.

Watched the movie Terminator 2, Ghost and the Darkness on tape...

5+ and I met Tham Mun Fai, the new dude who just move to Perlis. We met him near basketball court. He was much younger than us, and funny thing was, he had hard time getting along with the people of his same age. We taught him how to play basketball. This is one angry young man and I think now he is still an angry young man :-)

1994
Form 3.
Cikgu Karim the class teacher was a member of Al-Arqam, or maybe he was not, I could have mistaken his turban with the Al-Arqam group. Though, he was really a great teacher.

I used to draw his caricature in the class and pretending he was a Al-Arqam member, but he wasn't mad at me, and he said it was very good drawing!! He kept the drawing I think...

I played "DUNE" and "Alone in the dark" at 5+ house :-D, DOS rules!
PMR - scored 6 A's out of 8 subject.
After PMR was a long school break. I joined Atlantic Iklan (signage workshop) as apprentice.

1995
Everyone moved to form 4. Most of us move to Science Stream. Though I love painting it wasn't up to me to choose. Pn Manjit Khaur is the class teacher, or, is she not..?

5+ moved to KL.

Bought my first racing bicycle with my own money! What a satisfaction!

I had giga-problem catching up with the subjects, typically Math. Damn, the Additional Math teacher is the hubby of my Standard 1 class teacher. Sorry Mr. Tan I failed 5 out of your 6 tests... If only I know how important and how I can apply those Math knowledge back then, I would work my ass out to learn it. And, at one point I was thinking of throwing a red brick to your computer shop, no heart feeling yeah, I was young then. It was a (plan) joke I told Jimmy Mooi and we laughed like goat, as if it really happened. :-D.. Anyway, now I refer to Internet for the Math formula to solve the problem.

I learned to paint in soft pastel and oil by the books, got to travel 45kilometres to Alor Star to buy the material and paper. Met this mentor name Zaini Affendi Sabrono, we always met at a cafe near Southern Bank A.Star. This time around I still work part time at the signage shop... My school result was 3 letters: B.A.D.

- SamSua kopitiam Char Kuew Teow rank number 1!

- My elder brother study in Politeknik Sultan Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah though he loves music so much!

- Bought the book "Creature Core" by Yashushi Nirasawa, at Yaohan Penang. Borrowed the money from my friend... Lucky enough I won the painting competition a month later that I was able to pay him back! Prince Kim, thanks a million for the RM100 you loan to me without the interest. I still keep the book!

- Found the first piece of laDoll paper clay, Mr Zaini gave it to me free.

- First sculpting work done in laDoll, 1:1 Yellow Grasshopper. I caught one on the pomelo tree as reference. The painted sculpt were sealed in the acrylic box and given to Kim.

- Done second sculpting work, 1:1 scale sea turtle hatching from egg.

- Done third sculpting work 1:12 scale Trumpet, based on a Yamaha catalogue.

Did the soft pastel portrait of a Chinese Old Muslim, the portrait were later given to my cousin and he took it back to UK.

I did the oil painting of old musicians, given to Aunt Siew Pao. (Not the char-siew-pao ok!!!)

The Mandarin teacher was Ms Tan, I have no idea why people gave her a nick name "Sky-rider", funny :-)

1996 -
- I quit the part time work from Atlantik Iklan.
- become chairman of the Art Club in the school.
- Mandarin teacher was Mr. Loh; his nephew was in same class with us! He describe us like a bus passenger while he is a bus driver, when the bus reach the destination everyone have to drop off the bus... well it was the last year we are in secondary school, I guess we can't help to be a bit sentimental ;-).. You are right Sir, we have jumped off the bus and you still "drive the bus". I know you would have carried a lot more passengers to the right destination, the same as other "bus driver" I knew.
- saw Rodin masterpiece in a book: The Gate of Hell, Shade etc. Then only I know that the famous thinker was from his work Gate of Hell.

-Together with Harmus Lam Ming Chia, cycled to Alor Star from Kangar, 45 KM, we never let our family know about it :-D

- Finished the 4th sculpt, 1:16 Napolean figure.

- During School Open Day the Art Club of the school organized the join exhibition. We exhibited our best works and rush like hell to produce some really nice batik and preparing the exhibition hall.

- Finished 5th sculpt, and most complicated of all, 1:12 scale, "the Clarinet". A friend from brass band "borrowed" the actual clarinet to me as reference. I am using the same Yamaha catalogue but the picture was too small. Took about 2 months to complete the project, and the sculpture was given to my classmate who I have a crush with, for she played clarinet in the brass band. Somewhat I felt sorry to the friend who borrowed the clarinet for me; perhaps, if she thought I was gonna give the sculpture to her... I am really sorry...

- The moment of truth SPM.
Only scored 2A's out of 10 subjects, and merely passed the Additional Math test! Foooh!! The subject I score A were, Mandarin and Math!

After that "5+" and I work at Holiday Villa as part time waiter. I stay his house for free :-D. Then we apply for Polytechnic. Long story short he was accepted by Yi An Polytechnic Singapore and I end up in POLISAS Kuantan the following year. (Correct me if I am wrong 5+, I can't remember it was Yi An or Singapore Polytechnic, since Jimmy also went to one of these polytechnic)

1997

Packed the things and headed to POLISAS Kuantan, alone... though I wanted so much to study art, but my family can't afford it. And, the prospectus on the polytechnic, mentioned the subject "Rekaan Grafik" (graphic design) under the course I took. End up no such thing in the course. Some more, I have to study Accounting and Economy... WTF????
The first thing came to my mind was, I want to go back! But what can I do if I go back? So, stay and see what is there for me...

* QBASIC, first time into programming language. (Che Wan Kamisah)
* Accountancy.. My worst nightmare (Cik Fauziah I think)
* Quantitative - sort of a math subject, err....
* Pendidikan Moral..????? (Ustaz Udin, he looks like that Pak Uda in the "Pi Mai Pi Mai Tang Tu" sitcom)
and a few more...

Frankly, I was pretty lost... I gave up the dream of study art, and stuck in the course that offer some of the subjects I have totally not interested at. Lucky enough I was an angry young man then, so, fuck it, let see how worst it can get! Fight it! (Like what Anwar Ibrahim said "Lawan tetap Lawan!" 11 years later)

This was the first time I stay in hostel, it was bored it was fun and hell loaded with laughter for sure. The laughter helps me swim through the disappointments when I first enter the institute. The same floor we have 4th semester senior Tengku Baharudin aka Ultraman Putaro (a really nice guy, sadly we heard he was "kena buatan orang" - charmed- toward the end of semester), we also have Wong Fei Hong who came knock the door so hard to scared the crap out of people, then run like wind... I guess he ran out of luck when YeeLong (my roommate) and I hide a few nails behind the poster on the door)... And we have Shun Li the guy who looks like Andy Lau, Sin Chuan, The King of All Ants (he was protecting the ants when we were trying to kill them, thus given such nick name). We also have KeeGuan the fat guy from another block who later became the underground leader of us :-). Then we have Chuan Ho who swore he will never go after Li Xia who he later married to :-D

Instant noodle was our major meal in the menu; if we were lucky then we can have some Chinese food "tapau" (packed) by someone who went to town. Usually we have lunch at Ah Ching Kopitiam when we were at town. Sometimes we forget to pay after finish the lunch, but we will definitely go back and pay, because no one wanted to provoke the 4-Faces Buddha statue in front of the kopitiam!

Ayamas was luxurious then. We ate it in our room, along with watermelon!

Ghost story was better than any movie. The corridor of the hostel was dark like the scene in "Green Mile". Some room was said to be haunted. And we have a dude who was "pressed" by ghost too often that he get used to it :-).

I met my first girlfriend 'SieChuen' in POLISAS. We only talk once or twice in the campus if not mistaken; she was from the course of Accountancy. By the way the course I took was "Certificate in Data Processing."

*Spoiler: we didn't make it to the end... sad but life move on!

My roommate YeeLoong was a multi talented dude, he took the course of Food Technology, yet he had the background of programming and technical drawing. He went back to take the July Paper of B. Melayu and he scored a C3!

The toilet and bath room's door were Japanese Tatami style, the doors were easily collapse.

Each room had 1 electric socket, but it was not working, the hostel management sealed it with cement, to prevent us from using the socket. According to rumors, some moron from previous batch, got electric shock and were killed in the incident, while panic, the roommate of the toasted dude hide him in the closet until someone discovered it. I doubt it was real but back then, it sound convinced enough :-).

Rumors even have it some dude were drown in the big water reservoir tank.

- We boiled the water in the study room where the only socket works.

- Kedai Koperasi (the Cooperation Shop) is where we bought our daily sundries. Mamee snack was my favorite :-).

- I like to hang around Architecture School, because they were making a lot of art work.

- During free time I still paint with Acrylic. Was thinking of apply to transfer to Architecture School. I was just, THINKING.

- August- Princess Diana killed in the road accident.

- Reason why we ate a lot of instant noodle? We boycott the hostel cafe, the food price was crazily high, and the cafe lady was wearing the gold jewelry, like Mr. T!
My pal almost gets into a fight with the cafe staff, ever since, all of us from the gang boycott the cafe!

- However the food price at the campus cafe was reasonable, the coffee were cheap and taste good. I have my lunch + breakfast of sweet potatoes cake and eggs!

- My course mate, Kwee Ling, (top student of the course) she have baby face like a red apple that I wanted so much to squeeze it! She shares the same birth date with SieChuen.

- I can't remember majority of my course mate’s name, but I recognized their face. Here are a few names I still remember: Anbu, Jegadesuaren, Dave, Nor Azalia, Norlia, Lau Yoke Choo, Chan Yong Leong, Jary Damianus, Din, Ramli, Ros, a guy from Jengka, Gloria Richard, Kucing, and Au Kwee Ling...

- Only remember a few senior name, Teoh Li Ling aka Baby Dino, Kang Kok Sheng, Kuang Chun,
Teoh, if you are reading this, please contact me!

- Semester 1 end, I scored 5A out of 6 subjects (the smart little boy are back in business!), however, due to one subject that has high credit hour value, The Accounting, I got a big C on it, it ruined my average pointer badly.

- Having a hell of hard time learning 3Dsmax, as there was not much resource back then.

- COBOL first contact. Pn Salawati Salleh, or, "SS"
- Quantitative 2. Err... Math...
Semester 2, I scored 3.9 out of 4, Kwee Ling scored 4 out of 4. The Accounting result leaped from 'C' to 'A-'!

- The landlady was suffering from cancer I think, but she never gave up. She fought it with full force.
- Bought the second and third book on 3DSMAX, "Inside 3D Studio MAX vol II Modeling" and "Inside 3D Studio MAX vol I"

- I was starved for 2 1/2 days during one weekend... not a single penny in the wallet, and the boss didn't pay my allowance... I know I could ask for some food from the landlady but I didn't. Wanted to see how long I could survive just by drinking water, and stay in the room... on the third day my brother visit me, gave me some money... then I learned, "Hungry people is angry people".
- August, Commonwealth Game held in Kuala Lumpur.
- Anwar Ibrahim sacked and wacked. Reformation began.
- The 6 months Internship end.

1999

- Went back to Polytechnic for the final semester study.
- Submit the Internship report in heavy rain. My report being the thinnest of all, because I don't insert a lot of ads, appendix and attachment inside.
- Once a while we talk about the "reformasi".
- COBOL II, Pn Zamrah.
- VBA, can't recall the lecturer name, only remember he always gave weird pop quiz and we were free to refer to any resources as long as we can get the problem solved.
- Computer Architecture and Operating System, also taught by Pn Salawati Salleh.
- Software Design, the young lecturer always warned the class to behave! :-)

- Found job at MacroWorld in August, headed back to Kuantan. First day work at 2nd of September.
- Job title, designer.

- Very impressed by the game art of the Tekken 2, but I was never able to play more than 4th stages.

2000

- Apply to further study. My first priority was "Multimedia Technology", the course was offered in Labuan International Campus of UMS. I didn’t choose the location, I chose based on the subject that I am interested at.
- I also apply for the Multimedia University, formerly known as University Telekom Malaysia.

- Creative Director, Ah Peng (I think his real name was Siew Hong?), was an army of TDDM.
- Ms Loo resigned from Macroworld.

- One week later, I got the letter asking me to report to Labuan International Campus UMS.
- Kwee Ling was accepted to further her study in UKM.
- Ah Peng told me "The amount of money you put into study, you might not earn them back"
- SieChuen still study in PUO, I called her on hone once a while.
- May, finished the work on hand, headed back to Perlis prepare to travel to Labuan.
- Took flight for the first time, went to Labuan alone.

Semester 1 of UMSKAL.
- Orientation week roommate was Yong Han Lim, he said "I hope, when I walked out of this university 3 years later, I am no longer a smoker". The hope remains hope, Labuan is a free tax island, the cigarette & alcohol were MUCH cheaper!
- After orientation week, my roommate was Gelau, he came from Sabah.
- 3 months later Gelau moved out to another hostel unit, I never have chance to ask him why, I thought he left because he have much to complaint about me. I only found out the reason near the end of semester, he converted to Islam.
- Met new friends in first week, Soon Tuck, Soon Keong, Wei Lieh, Kok Kiang, Han Lim. We sneaked out to town during the second day we arrived there.
- Met 1 guy from POLISAS, Ah Chooi, and a guy from PUO Ching Yong.
- Study life was quite normal.
- Met Mr. Azme Taufik, we thought he was a student from our batch, because he looks really young, and his appearance deceived us.
- Learned Japanese Language as foreign language subject.
- Learn Archery - definitely not the sport that I can perform well by nature, for I have right lazy eyes while my right hand is the prominent one. 1 semester is too short to fixed my lazy eye...
- most people thought I was "not quite right", as I always laugh so loud when I thought of something funny.
- Winnie Toh gave me a nick name "Poly-Short-Short", she say I might have short circuit in my brain and most of them know that I graduated from Polytechnic.

Semester one end with no disaster. I spend the 45 days semester break alone in hostel. The hostel was quiet like graveyard. During this time I improved the Flash 3.0 knowledge and skills into another level, Actionscripting.

-Watched "Takashi Castle" at campus cafe, after played basketball.
-Went to library to get online, learned the action script thingy. And improve on 3DS MAX.
-Out of 45 nights, only "pressed" by ghost once, hehe.. Not sure if it was really ghost, maybe I was too tired.

2001
Semester 2.
-Here comes the Math subject again!
-learned C programming . Get to known Mee Huat the "美发男子先生" (Mr. Hair Saloon if direct translates from his mandarin name). His C programming project was a Math Quiz with countdown timer, and mine was a typing-training game.
- Pn Sharihan taught us C programming, while Ms Joyce was handling the tutorial session.
- My MMX 233 MHz still performs well , hehe, running Windows 95 still.
- Usually I don't talk much with people I am not familiar with, so I am not familiar with most people in the campus. I wrote letter to Siechuen once a while.
- Labuan was seriously windy! A lady's umbrella was blown away while walking beside football field. I helped her get the umbrella back. I didn't really know her until 3rd year.
- Semester 2 ended with my result ranked second upper.

-During the 3 months semester break, I went to Penang to work part time as a designer at Bringles Enterprise. It was then that I started to date Siechuen. I wrote to her when I was in Labuan.
-The Butterworth Parkson which were located on 1st floor of the jetty building, were on fire. The fire burned for 14 hours plus. Some said the fire started at midnight. SieChuen was working as accounting staff there. She left all her important document such as school result and curriculum vitae, all in a folder in her office drawer.

-She thought all her documents were gone, but, miraclely the folder survived the 14 hours fire. The drawer was burned to charcoal but the folder survived!
Before the semester break end she was accepted to UUM.

May
I went back to UMS Labuan to continue with semester 3.
- Learned Java programming.
- For the Multimedia III project, we were required to create a compression software.
- I use Java 1.2 to create the compression software, by applying Selective Huffman algorithm.
-The compression software I created can be used to compress any file type, just like winzip, and of course, decompress the compressed file.
- building the whole piece of programming from scratch was a great challenge and I felt like the king of the world when I manage to finish the project! :-)
- Since I use Java to create the software, I submitted the same piece of coding as my Java project.
- During this semester, I stayed in single room.
- September-11 shocked the world. (I have nothing to do with this!)

2002

-Continued with Semester 4
-This is the second year I spent the Chinese New Year in Labuan.
-Nothing much to recall for semester 4.
-I started to collect information about the final year project.
-Bought the first computer tablet, the 5"x4" Wacom Graphire. Imran Jabar of Sifoo.com helped me sourced the table. I never met him in person but he was (still is) a cool guy!
-During end of semester, I wrote a sub routine for Ah Jun to convert a IP address into 4 individual numeric data. It was the last few hours before his presentation. That was a very exciting and panic moment :-D.. I can work under pressure, doesn't mean I like to work under pressure :-)

June
-I stepped into semester 5, the phase 1 of final project began.
-Finally the super sculpey is available in Malaysia!!!!
-Bought the first box of Super Sculpey from Multifilla. I have been Multifilla's customer since I was in secondary school. I learned about Super Sculpey from "Creature Core" book and some modeling magazines long time ago but it wasn't available at that time. My mum threw all my modeling magazine when I wasn't at home, lucky enough I carry along the Creature Core to Labuan!
-For my final year project, I chose to make a 3D animation based on a story told by YeeLoong.
- Phase 1 of project was to submit proposal and start the feasibility study , bla bla bla, paper works!
- I was thinking of just refine the compression software I created in semester 3, give it a nice interface and I can swim through this final project easily, but that would screw up the whole idea of the final project in the first place (in my opinion). So I challenge myself for the 3D animation project, which was never done before by the student of same faculty.
- Pn Sharihan was my supervisor for the final project.
- I drew story board, design the characters, and make a maquette for the character.
- honestly at this point I already felt the pressure that I might not be able to finish the whole project alone, but like what the Cantonese said, "Since the head already wet", I have to bite the bullet and proceed with it.
-Many exciting events happened this semester. The first 2 to 3 months of the semester, the pipe water supply was cut off. Some said the underwater pipe that source from Sabah, was broken.
- Out water supply came from a tanker lorry, the water, needless to mentioned, is not very appetizing. I stayed on 4th floor, damn.. Have to carry 2 pails of water daily. And I stay with some house mate that doesn’t know how to FLUSH the toilet. They will left their treasure in the toilet bowl when they finished their business...
- Since they were water tanks below each hostel block, those who date the girl and chit chat near the tank were called "Tangki Man" (water tank man). Besides Tangki man, there were also Stair-man, Lamp-post-man, Longkang man (drain-man) etc :-)
semester 5 end with a lot of excitements.

2003
January - Semester 6 began.
-Some day in February - around 5am, someone knocked on my room door (not Wong-Fei Yong this time), and told us that Pn Sharihan had passed away.
-It shocked us big time and we went to gather in front of her house. A lot of student regardless of ethnic were there. The school arranged us to see her for one last time at Labuan General Hospital.
- From what we heard, her will was, she wanted to be buried in Labuan incase she pass away. However her family insisted to have her body delivered back to KL.
- Around 7pm or so, we heard she arrived at KL in MAS cargo.
- Rest in Peace, Puan.

- I have to continue the 3d animation project with new supervisor, Mr. Zamhar.
- The whole semester I was busy with this 3D animation. After finish the animation, I have to render the sequences into frame, then edit the while sequence in video editing software.
- I used a part of Zainal Abidin song "Tua" as the beginning music of the animation.
- Due to the software compression problem during video output process, the sound was not present in the video. I have to present the project without sound, and only 2 days later I manage to solved the problem and resubmit a version with sound.
- During the final presentation, I wore the same shirt and tie I wore during my old days in Polytechnic. I was never a fan of shirt, it make me felt really itchy. (I called it monkey-suit :-)).
I wore the same shirt and tie during the UMS convocation, making it the one shirt that accompanied me through 2 convocations of my life.
